Yokayo Elementary Hosts Career Day

Professionals from all around the region detailed a wide variety of jobs. Students were encouraged to ask questions and have dialogs about careers and work. The main goals of Career Day are to inspire students, to promote the importance of education, and provide career exploration through discussions with community members.    

“Career Day provides our students with the opportunity to learn more about the many career paths available for them in their future. It’s never too early to get them thinking about the possibilities out there for jobs and a career,” said Lynsie Quinonez, Yokayo Elementary Reading Teacher and Career Day organizer.

Yokayo Elementary School would like to thank the following community members who volunteered their time at the 1st Annual Yokayo Elementary School Career Day! These amazing people came together to support our youth, to motivate them, and to promote a positive experience on a very special day:
